The Dayton's Bluff area of St. Paul, Minnesota provides the background for Amtrak #10 "The Hiawatha" eastbound for Chicago. The lead unit E-9 409 is ex. Milwaukee 35A, the second unit, 452, is ex. Milwaukee 35B and the third, an F7, is'BN 9784, Amtrak number 106, still in the premerger paint of Northern Pacific where it was numbered 6512A.
An Amtrak "San Diegan" heads north (railroad west) past the closed Santa Fe station at Orange, CA. The depot is now a restaraunt, and also a Metrolink station stop. Trailing the 505 is E9B 452 (ex-MILW 358) and five cars.
A pair of Amtrak E-units were with ICG 2039 at the NOUPT sand tower. They had just arrived on the PANAMA LIMITED.
