A line of retired/stored ASEA AEM-7s is seen at Amtraks maintenance facility in Wilmington, DE. Units include AMTK 908, AMTK 920, AMTK 935, AMTK 919, and AMTK 927.

New Siemens ACS-64 and two of the older AEM-7s which will be retired.

Amtrak AEM-7 #927 leads Northeast Regional #141 through Bridesburg enroute to Washington DC. Upon reaching Washington, #927 was taken off of the active roster and sent to the Amtrak shops in Wilmington for disposition, ending nearly 35 years in passenger service.

This will probably be my last shot of an AEM-7, I thought I'd retire before them! Good bye old friends! 927 was extra special, as I had a cab ride in her from New Haven to NY, an enjoyable ride!
