If I recall from my friend over at IRM, they were being shipped out for repair after being involved in an accident. But I could be wrong could never get the full story out of him as to what happened.

Granted they are in sad shape but here's hoping some museum will try and save it if for no other reason than to preserve it for furure generations and keep it from becoming more scrap metal..
