Coal, but not for here

A northbound coal train rolls past the old Jennison Station at Bainbridge. This power plant was an on and off D&H customer, getting most of its coal by truck. If I recall, it was closed by this date in 2001, after NYSEG sold its generating capacity(another NY State inspired boondoggle), and older, less efficient plants were shut down. This train will go to the B&M at Mohawk, and eventually on to Massachusetts.
