Six axles on the DLW

Conrail restricted the Vestal Spur, the one time DLW main segment from West BD to Vestal, to four motor power. NS, on the other hand, had no problem sending heavy power down to Goudy. We see one such train returning to Binghamton. Once there, it will go south as an 888 back to the mines in western PA.
