Built in 1928 by StLCC as GN steam generator #1, 1 of 4 such cars (#1-#4) built in that Lot. #1-#2 were re-equipped in 1946, and #3-#4 were re-equipped in 1954. In 1968, GN sold #1-#2 to WP as #591-#592, which were retired in 1972 (WP also acquired #6 as #593). In 1972, BN sold #3 (as well as #9 and 3 ex-NP generators) to J.
