Depicted here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4912, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower.

Description:  PFJ. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken at Frankford Junction near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on 13 September 1952. At the left is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4912, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during January of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. It has just departed 30th Street Station on its way to Trenton and New York City. At the right (L to R) are PRR engines #4788 and #4781. Both are P-5A (2-C-2) modifides built in Juniata and rated at 3,750 horsepower each; #4788 was built in February of 1935, but #4781 was out-shopped one month earlier.
