Great side view of a tall nosed GP9 built by EMD in December of 1956 as IC #9193. Later, the IC Paducah Shops would rebuld it into IC GP10 #8193. Eventually the rebuilt loco would be sold to the MIdSouth Rial Corporation (MSRC) who would resell it to Gulf & Mississippi Railroad (GMSR but part of the KCS family) as their #8183. An unkown rail fan photographed the loco while it was idle in Freeport, IL. Surprisingly, this is a new loco addition to the RRPA database. |
