The unit was originally Chesapeake & Ohio 3869 built in November 1967 and it was subsequently CSX 2069, Helm Leasing (HATX) 107, Colonel's Island RR (CISD) 2000 at Mydharris, Georgia, then Rail Link (RLIX) 2000 before becoming L&D 2000 in October 2000.
