Here are ten photos that first appeared in a 38-page cover article by Mr. Philip W. Klaus, Jr., entitled "The Newtown Square Branch." The article was first published in the Winter 1986-1987 issue of "The High Line" magazine, and then reprinted in a Special Edition of the same magazine during the Winter of 1991-1992. All of these photos were taken by Mr. Don Kehl; identifying data and captions are provided for each photo. The negatives for these photos came from the estate of Mr. Roy Healey, a railfan who lived in California. I purchased them in an eBay auction during February of 2018.

PRR 8259, H-10S, 1949
Description:
Here is a photo which first appeared in an article by Philip W. Klaus, Jr., entitled "The Newtown Square Branch." It was published in the Winter 1986-1987 issue of "The High Line" magazine, page 7. Partial & Revised Caption: "Double-headed H's approach Baltimore Pike after entering Newtown Square Branch. H-10s No. 8259 is in the lead, with H-9S [#3097] as helper.... Photo by Don Kehl; June 10, 1949." Both locomotives are (2-8-0) "Consolidateds." #8259 is an H-10S built by the American Locomotive Company during 1916 and retired in February of 1959. #3097 is an H-9S "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in June of 1917, and retired in December of 1954. PRR 553, H-9S, 1949
Description:
Here is a photo which first appeared in an article by Philip W. Klaus, Jr., entitled "The Newtown Square Branch." It was published in the Winter 1986-1987 issue of "The High Line" magazine, page 9. Partial & Revised Caption: "H-9s, No. 553, waiting with double-headed H-10, No. 8259, and H-9 engine [#3097] along with circus train. Engines will be backing circus train onto Cardington Branch. Photo by Don Kehl; June 10, 1949." All three locomotives are (2-8-0) "Consolidateds." #553 is an H-9S built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1913 and retired in April of 1951. #8259 is an H-10S built by the American Locomotive Company during 1916 and retired in February of 1959. #3097 is an H-9S "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-9S in June of 1917, and retired in December of 1954.
