Album Info:WSOR provides the vast majority of the train action in the rail hub of Rock County. It remains an interesting regional railroad under Watco ownership although there have been quite a few changes. UP serves a few industries around town and runs the occasional unit grain train through to the Landmark Co-op at Evansville via their Harvard Sub from Proviso, although their traffic is a shell of what it was before the GM plant closed in 2008. CP makes cameo appearances via their ex-SOO/IMRL/IC&E branch line up from Davis Jct./Rockford, IL.

Description:  Since most of the traffic out of Horicon is Chicago-bound anyways, instead of yarding the train they'll have it make a quick pick-up/set-out and send it on its way with the same T004 or T004R crew. This even though the Janesville-Chicago train is nominally supposed to be the T002.

Description:  This little zig-zag street has three names in about 3/4 mile, as it changes to keep consistent with Janesville's east-west and north-south grid although it does not physically connect to any other segments of any of the three named streets. In my opinion the blue and maroon lease unit fits in nicely with the WSOR's red and gray.

Description:  This is one of two ex-BN units brought on to the railroad in 2011, still in Cascade Green as WSOR 4012. It wasn't until after the renumbering into the WAMX roster that the unit finally received red and gray, becoming one of four six axle units in Watco's new version of the scheme. The downward dip in the fat gray stripe is moved from the long hood to the short hood (it wraps straight around the end of the long hood, unlike on the older scheme represented by 4170), replacing the narrow red and gray chevron stripes there.

Description:  Actually only three cars back from the head-end power, with a long cut of grain empties behind. The first three cars are for local industries in Janesville, to be spotted on the return.
