This photo documents the transformation of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3750 (original cab number painted-over) into engine #1737 (newly-affixed numbered keystone on smokebox). #3750 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as number "3750" during March of 1920, renumbered "1737" in 1956, and currently on display as number "3750" at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. Both were built in Juniata and both are presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. #1737 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built as number "3750" during March of 1920 and renumbered "1737" in 1956. #6755 is an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built as an M-1A during June of 1930 and rebuilt as an M-1B in April of 1944. Description:  Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 26 May 1972. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad steam locomotive numbered "1737." However, its original number is "3750," as indicated on the keystone number plate on the smokebox. It is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1920. Partially visible on the right is PRR engine #460, an E-6S (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata during August of 1914; it's the "Lindbergh Locomotive."
