PRR 3750 into 1737, K-4S, 1956          
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, in the Summer of 1956. Caption On Reverse: "Original 3750. Northumberland, Pa." This photo documents the transformation of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3750 (original cab number painted-over) into engine #1737 (newly-affixed numbered keystone on smokebox). #3750 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata as number "3750" during March of 1920, renumbered "1737" in 1956, and currently on display as number "3750" at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. The exact date of this photo is not recorded. ("Demonlum"; #8 of 18)
