Auto Train pulling out  Contributor's Pick!
It's 4PM and, right on time, Amtrak's Auto Train, no.53, starts to pull the first part of its train out of the Lorton VA facility. The two units will pull forward enough to clear the lead switch, after which the resident Amtrak SW1200 will connect the rear half of the train. The resulting 38 car train will need only two P40s to pull it to Florida; 839 and 833 will do the honors tonight.
