| The Santa Cruz, Big Trees & Pacific was sadly not running on Easter Day this year (in fact, the ROW has trees on it, I later discovered), but I was able to shoot this neat little Whitcomb in the yard they share with Roaring Camp & Big Trees. This 45-ton side-rodder had belonged to and worked the sand pits in nearby Olympia, CA until the line was abandoned by the Southern Pacific. When Big Tees took over, this little engine was used to re-open the line. |
