ASAB 503, the first of three SD9s on the road, was wrecked at Youngstown FL in February 1978. Not surprisingly, it was subsequently retired.

David Barrentine General My Deddy works for the Bay Line. At the time this happened we lived in PC and he was working on the PC line. I remember him taking me as a child to the shop and showing me the locomotive. One of the things that I remember ( and it's funny with all the wreckage) was all the slag all over the locomotive.
