Chris Martin General Those are old ore jennies. I work for Fritz Enterprises which those cars are sent to and we load them with slag fines, "Q slag" and "B scrap" that we process for US Steel from their slag dump. After processing the material, the cars are loaded and shipped back to USS for use at their blast furnace. I've seen some cars dated as late as 1935 build dates! This is an everyday operation. They typically come in to make this move between 4-6pm daily. 1/9/2010 11:21:50 AM
