This locomotive was built by EMC in March 1938 (c/n 716) on Order E194. It was rebuilt by EMD to SW900 908, completed June 1959 (new c/n 23458) on EMD Order 7576. Our photographer notes that this is Train #55, but also indicates that this was #43's train. One assumes that the switcher is adding the power to the train as there is a brakeman about to check the coupling between the power and the train. |
