#21 Detour dead in the water
Train #21 the Texas Eage, with Amtrak 21 leading, is sitting awaiting a new crew and pilot to take over the train after the crew ran a red signal at South Villa Grove. This occured just after a crew change at Villa Grove, IL. From what i was told there was 4 qualified engineers (2 Amtrak, 2 UP) on board the loco when they ran the red.

M. R. EASTERN General SUPERB NIGHT SHOT, VERY SCARY STORY... 10/28/2009 6:44:40 PM
Ric Roberts General I don't know why a train would need 4 engineers...not to mention there's only 3 seats in the cab. There was an Amtrak engineer, and a UP pilot engineer and conductor in the cab. The train was detouring over the Villa Grove Sub due to MofW on the Joliet Sub. The Villa Grove crew had just gotten off and the St. Louis crew had just gotten on. 11/2/2009 3:56:34 PM
