William H. Davis Jr. General You're right Bernie, but not this particular one. The train consist showed it as going to New Orleans, La. dumping between Mobile, Al. & New Orleans, La. 11/16/2009 7:46:28 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General That was nice Alex. Ironically this train I got called on had engine problems & they had to add the 8592 to the consist & luckily it was on the point instead of trailing. The trailing SD50 8567 had a mechanical failure. The 123 had been leading the K989. Had the 123 still been leading I never would've bothered getting my camera out. It took 3 crews to get K989 from Calera to Montgomery. 2 of the cars in the train spilled rock under the train causing more delay. I had to set those 2 cars out, then go to Montgomery with it. The 3rd crew being me was the charm to get the K989 over the road 11/16/2009 7:54:44 PM
Land Rover General CSXT 8592 Is That A -2 Anyway Nice Shot W D 11/17/2009 12:43:33 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General The stenciling on the cab was SD50, so I classified it as an SD50 & not an SD50-2. I thought that all of the SD50'S were rebuilt to -2 specifications myself. Anyway everyone on here knows what it is. SD50, SD50-2, there are no differences on appearance. Thanks 11/17/2009 7:43:47 AM
