Southern Railway hosted this TVRM special in Noveember 1964 from Chattanooga to Huntsville Al. The train is seen ready to depart Chattanooga Tn. the depot still stands today and is now the Chattanooga Choo Choo. The second and third track are all thats left now as all the other tracks in this photo have been removed. The glory days of the Southern Railway are all but a memorie.

Jonathan Vincent General Chris, it appears to be a "Power car". I think these basically were used to supply steam for the the passenger cars. This allowed locos that did not have steam generators to be used on passenger runs. 9/1/2011 9:44:10 AM
