| MidSouth Rail 120-ton crane 1600 was holding up the rear of GP10 8210 while the geep’s rear truck was removed for some attention. The crane was built in 1913 as Industrial Work serial number 2868. It was originally Chicago & Alton 053, then Alton X-39, then Gulf Mobile & Ohio 66408 (where it was converted to diesel power), then Illinois Central Gulf 100406 and finally MidSouth Rail 1600 before being retired and sold. The building on the right was the engine house, while the yard tower was behind the boxcar on the left. |
