History in motion
In the age of trip optimizers, PTC looming, and emissions, its nothing short of a miracle to shoot an SD40-2 on a hotshot. And shooting a Conrail blue one at that is nearly impossible for someone off the NS's lines. But here, in 2010, on a frigid Friday afternoon, sun glints off the worn nose which still displays CONRAIL in bold white lettering, applied over 30 years ago in La Grange, on the SD40-2 trailing on the ZEMCH.
