Saturday
It's noon on a Saturday at New Iberia, and things are pretty quiet on the SP. In the foreground are fuel car 62295 and caboose 444. On the other side of the caboose -- on the engine tie-up track -- are SW1200R's 2309, 2313 and 2307. One of these units would have been the New Iberia Switcher, one would have been for train 519/520 -- the run to the salt mine at Avery Island -- and the third was probably a extra engine that was being swapped out for maintenance. Visible between the tank car and the 2309 are the scale house and the east end of the freight house, while the depot is in the left background.
