You also have the 700 series P32-ACDM Amtrak series. These ride like crap (so I've heard) and they have a clearance issue on the corridor. Hence they only ordered 10

The 700 series GE's are equipped with third rail capability so they can run in electric mode south of Croton Harmon on Metro North. They were never really intended for running on the corridor, but on Empire Service trains on the ex NYC to upstate NY.
