|The D-LACBAR3-06M creeps along at about 5 or 10 MPH on the North Vail Lead. The train is made up of four ES44DCs (two on the front and two on the back) and 26 DIT (dead in transit) Dash 8-40CWs. Having already come to the realization that I am aging with the retirment of Class One Dash 7s, now seeing a railroad completely rid itself of Dash 8s is all the worse. The units are going to be stored in Barstow for now, but are unlikely to ever turn another wheel for the BNSF.
