Precision National GP9 176 at BN's Clyde, Illinois facilities on an unknown day in September 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Built in March 1954 as UP GP9 176 (c/n 19177) on EMD Order 5321, it was sold to PNC in May 1977. It is seen here on short-term lease to the BN.

Pat Dowler General I don't know how many of the parts on this engine are from the original GP9, or were substituted during shoppings/rebuild. The handrails it has in this picture definitely came off a GP7, and the dynamic brake grid opening as been plated over.. 8/6/2017 3:09:40 AM
