AMTK 7
Amtrak 7 at Beech Grove, Indiana on February 4, 1987, photo by Chuck Zeiler. If the serial number listed with photos of this locomotive is correct, then it was built by GE in May 1941 as a 45 tonner for the US Army as number 7078 (c/n 13052) and assigned to the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant B-5 at Kingsbury, Indiana. Note the air whistle on the cab front by the exhaust stack, and a running board full of support equipment.
