CN FPA2 6758
Canadian National FPA2 diagram, indicating that number 6758 was former 6751, which was renumbered from the as-delivered number 6706 (c/n 79197) built by MLW in March 1955. In 1958 it was upgraded to FPA2u by exchanging the original Model 244 prime mover for a Model 251B prime mover. Also upgraded was FPA2 6755, delivered as 6711, the upgraded locomotive was renumbered to 6759. Two FPB-2's were also upgraded in the same manner: #6807, renumbered to 6851, became FPB-2u 6859, and #6811, renumbered to 6855, became FPB-2u 6858. No guarantees on this information, which comes from several sources and some of it conflicted.

Tim Steeves General The former numbers are wrong on this sheet. They were actually renumbered in reverse order. 9/3/2017 9:03:42 AM
Chuck Zeiler General Thanks Tim. Do you have sources to verify this information, or can you direct me to a source? I'd like to set the record straight. 9/4/2017 10:41:55 AM
