Soo Line passenger engine 553 waits at Winnipeg for the return trip to Minneapolis/ St Paul! The Soo Line was really the Canadian Pacific in the USA, just as the Great Northern and the Northern Pacific jointly owned the Burlington which gave them a route to Chicago! On the Great Northern the overnight train between St Paul/ Minneapolis and Winnipeg was called "the Winnipeg Limited" and on the Soo Line it was called "the Winnipeger". On the "GN" the distance was 457 miles.
