The local from Americus, which will swap train with the local from Macon and then return to Americus, has dropped their train on the northbound mainline and the power, with headlights on, is backing up on the passing track to pick up some cars to go north. Local locomotives are parked next to the old freight depot on the house track. The southbound main is visible on the right and in the distance the signals governing Columbus Jct. can be seen. The track to Columbus can be seen veering from the southbound main while straight ahead the line continues to Americus/Albany. The line veering off the passing track just past the street crossing is the line that runs behind the freight depot and continues to Perry GA. Various crossovers complete the photo. |
