ATSF 3001
ENID OK Sept 4 1978 -- Santa Fe GP20u 3001 and GP38 3547 handle switching duties in this major grain shipping facility. EMD built the 3001 (s/n 25574) as GP20 1101 in May 1960 and delivered it in blue with yellow ends and trim. In the 1969-70 general renumbering it became 3101 and after mid-June 1972 it was repainted into yellow warbonnet. In March 1978 the San Bernardino CA shops rebuilt it as a GP20u and renumbered it 3001. After the merger it was transferred to BNSF on Sept 22 1995 and renumbered 2001. It was later acquired by Pioneer Rail Equipment and renumbered PREX 3001.
