B&O 4500 - Baltimore & Ohio RR "Mikado" type 2-8-2  Contributor's Pick!       
Constructed in just 20 days by Baldwin Locomotive Works in July, 1918, the B&O No. 4500 was the first USRA locomotive produced under federal management during WW I. Retired in 1957, it was sent to the B&O Museum.
