MEC 407 General The beacon near the dynamic brake section is a warning light for the K9 APU (auxiliary power unit). This allows the main engine to shut down, while keeping the water and lube oil warm, thus reducing noise and fumes, and saving fuel. They are slowly installing these on all units. 9/8/2006 11:01:06 PM
