| Delivered to Union Pacific as SD40-2 3436 in April 1978, this locomotive has spent it's entire working life employed by the original purchaser having never been renumbered. On November 11, 2011, this locomotive rolled out of UP's North Little Rock Jenks shop as a rebuilt and repainted SD40N 1658. Nearly exactly two years later 1658 is being towed in a seven unit lashup wearing an oil stain along the walkway and below the radiator grill. |
