CDOT car  Contributor's Pick!
Connecticut DOT acquired a variety of rail equipment, which was painted variously for Metro North, Amtrak, and later New Haven, heritage units long before NS or UP had the idea. Despite the paint jobs, it ran where DOT needed it, and it was not uncommon to see an Amtrak painted car on a New Haven commuter train. Such is the case here, a CDOT car painted Amtrak working on the Danbury Branch.
