| Dad took the LIRR to work every day, and occasionally pointed his camera at various subjects during the trip. One such was Sunnyside yard, seen here in a March 1972 view. The rainbow era is very much underway, as can be seen by not only the usual Pennsy, PC, and SCL cars, but by a few UP interlopers as well. Note the Allied Chemical tank in the foreground. I'm guessing that was the weed sprayer, laid up for the winter. |
