Frozen Alco
We made the long trip to Syndey to buy this RS18. At the time, a runner Alco was $20,000, and a junk EMD was $100,000. Easy math for a startup company. 3842 was the last MLW running on CBNS, and was a crew favorite. When we got there, we found they had indeed parked her running, but then left water in her in the middle of winter. The block was cracked. Long trip for not much. Poor 3842 was cut up along with the rest of their MLW fleet a year or so later. Shot taken in the CBNS shop, so this was all I could get.
