CB&Q Class CF-7 3003
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class CF-7 3003 at Aurora, Illinois on September 11, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 3003 was built in June 1911 by ACF as CB&Q 2076, renumbered 1095, renumbered again to 3003, scrapped at Eola on January 13, 1966. In its final years this car was assigned to the Oregon Way Freight, the last mixed train working out of Eola to Oregon and return. As I was cleaning the slide I noticed an air (or maybe electric) horn mounted near the top of the signal bridge by the ladder on the right.
