| Virginia required cabooses on trains, so every train in the state had one. The railroads were not so keen on this, now that EOT technology had become cost effective and practical. The fans liked it, as we got to see this vestige of another era for a while longer. This train on the Southern main arriving at Pot Yard had this Southern car trailing. Look at the gons full of phone poles. Classic southern load. |
