Milwaukee 506         
SD10 557 was caught on the wrong end of derailment and couldnt return to Janesville. It was shut down and Gratiot and became a 150 ton ice cube. A week after the derailment, the track was repaired and the 506 hauled the 557 back to Janesville to thaw out. Later in the year, the 506 would be leased to and painted for the Wisconsin & Southern

Warren"Bud" Knoop General Remember this one >> 557 somebody tried to start the engine before it was warmed up and the pressure inside the lub oil filter tank bllew the cover off leaving about 40 gallons of 40w lube oil everywhere Unit brought to Madison Rdhse for us to repair. 5/12/2017 8:28:50 AM
