PRR 2230, EF-22, 1965
WIL-ALT-65. Here is an original photo that I took while riding in a Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train from Harrisburg to Altoona during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2230, #2422, and two other units whose numbers are not recorded. #2230 is an EF-22 built by EMD in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. #2422 is an AF-25 built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound TrucTrain near Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
