PRR Whistle Post, 1960
Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad real estate in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during March of 1960. Shown here is the "W" ~ for whistle ~ sign just to the West of the Jackson Street crossing. Also visible are gondolas parked at the Sender's Junk Yard siding. The two tracks on the left occupy the original right-of-way for the Allegheny Portage Railroad between Duncansville (to the rear) and Hollidaysburg. Broad Street/US Route 22 is visible at the far left.
