PRR 3553, H-9S, c. 1949         
Here is an original photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3553, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as an H-8B numbered "6604" during 1909, renumbered "3553" in August of 1913, rebuilt as an H-9S in June of 1918, and retired in October of 1955 after 42 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded ~ but note the Apteka Drug Store on the corner of West Penn Street and North Beeson Avenue. Roy Healey Collection; #10 of 16.
