| Here is a postal card entitled "Pennsylvania Railroad New Type Passenger Locomotive." Postmarked: 28 March 1925. Caption On Reverse: "Type K-4s Passenger Locomotive." #1737 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1914, renumbered "3750" in 1956, and retired in February of 1960 after 46 years of faithful service. Note the manual reverse, piston rod extension, boiler-tube pilot, bell cord, as well as the old-style electric headlight. #1737 is the original K-4S. |
