| This Mogul was one of a group of 24 2-6-0's built by Cooke between March and May 1900 as Southern Pacific 1470-1493. In 1901, the entire group was renumbered 1678-1701; and on 18 December 1901, the 1697 was sold to the Galveston, Harrisburg & San Antonio as the 450. The locomotive had been built in May 1900 as Cooke serial number 2537 and finished its career as Texas & New Orleans 450. It was sold to Commercial Metals in Houston on 22 October 1954. |
