| Illinois Central 2-8-2 3792 was photographed at MAYS YARD, near New Orleans, just two years before it was sold for scrap. It had been built by Alco’s Brooks Works (serial no. 43432) in August 1907 as 2-8-0 917; was rebuilt into Mikado 3917 in August 1921, renumbered 3792 in 1937, and was sold in April 1956. |
