Union Pacific 4000 waits for the final coat of paint in front of the ALCO factory in Schenectady, New York in 1941. 4000 has the original coolant pipes in their original location, before they were relocated to the box on the front of the unit. 4000 will arrive in Cheyenne in September of 1941.
