Tom Beckett General Cool shot, good foliage. The train is coming off the Susquehanna River bridge, out of sight beyond the trees. The two lead units would end up on Guilford after they bailed on the D&H in 1988. Also in consist is an ex LV GP 38, and what looks like one of the Morrison Knudsen C 424 rebuilds. This is on the south side of Binghamton, along Conklin Av, at Holmes Crossing. East Binghamton is a misnomer; there is actually no such place. DLW just called their yard that, since it was east of downtown-and on the south side of the city, too. Most of the yard actually lies in the Town of Conklin, to the east of the City of Binghamton. 11/12/2021 5:19:52 AM
