| A crew has just boarded this GE trio at the head end of a string of loads from Evansville, and will eventually take it on to Proviso. However, the third unit needs some attention, so first they will cut the power off, run it ahead of the lead switch, and back into the yard. It will be nearly dark by the time they actually depart. The other GE off to the right, coupled nose-in, is stored. I can't make out the number due to depth of field but the first two digits appear to be "98," placing it in the roster of ex-C&NW Dash 9s. |
